The first name of the this extension may mislead you. Perceptual Ad Highlighter packs advertising messages into a translucent "container" and signs them as "This is an ad". It does not block advertising, but, which is logical - it highlights the ad.

Blockers define the advertisement message by its code, while Perceptual Ad Highlighter define by content: graphic elements, information block size, graphic elements, "sponsored" labels and AdChoices elements. Potentially, this can become a serious obstacle to native advertising.

The extension was tested on 50 sites, including Facebook and YouTube.
